You waited for that sun
Felt it from a distance
Never just a star in the sky
Towards it you could fly
You longed for that star
adored it from a far
Never part of a constellation
Its site your consolation
You ached for that constellation
like mortals from days gone
like none in many a galaxy
Your salvation so you said
So that sun never rose
The star failed to shine
Seasons moved constellations
And it all fell into place
In it slot in the galaxy.

A promise that was never kept
a leaf in autumn
my heart
a candle in the rain
my hope
a dream at the sound of dawn
my faith
a song from a broken record
my laughter
a star in a clouded sky
my smile
a feather in a windy plain
my love
from me you've flown
with your love you've gone
that promise you never kept
you're gone
my heart
a candle in the rain
my hope
a dream at the sound of dawn
my faith
a song from a broken record
my laughter
a star in a clouded sky
my smile
a feather in a windy plain
my love
from me you've flown
with your love you've gone
that promise you never kept
you're gone

To that man
To that man who loves a girl the stars shine on
He that never gets the love in return
She wants one breathing the air she does
So his heart sinks in sorrow
As he prays God to take him
I feel him
To that man who never lets go of the girl
He blames it on the other man's airs
His flats in the cities the sun shines on
So his love and life lost its course
And he swears to not love again
Tell him
Tell him, men look beneath the skin
Tell him, men rise up to a better them
This world is full of beautiful people
The good few and far between
you've been rejected
Move on
The Answer is Flying in the Wind
Now that faith moves mountains,
will hope bridge the valley between us?
If love is all we need,
is it lust all we got?
If the bitter truth sets us free,
are these enslaving lies all sweet?
If the journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step,
could it be our journey of a single mile started with a thousand steps?
If marrying bad wives made philosophers,
will marrying you my good one turn me a moron?
If the answer to these questions flies in the wind,
why is it not written in the colors of the rainbow?
